ITI, BIET, is a non bureaucratic demand driven DYNAMIC institute, under Ministry of Labour, Government of India, working towards achieving national standards. The Government of India in collaboration with the State Governments has been taking various steps to improve the quality of training in the ITIs and under the apprenticeship-training scheme.The Institute supports occupational and individual development of potential workforce from organized and unorganized sectors through systematic development and production dissemination.
The unprecedented change in the technology during the recent past has compelled Government of India to create necessary infrastructure facilities to cope up with the globalization and liberalization of the economy. To achieve this goal, ‘Quality’ becomes watch word for each modern industry. Human Resource Development and the need of training of each individual, whether at the top or bottom level in the establishment, cannot be ignored for effective training. This has resulted in the establishment of Industrial Training Institute, BIET, Barapada, Bhadrak in 2000.
